Coal Yard Studios
Coal Yard Studios is a shared artist workspace in Cork’s South Docklands.
Developed as a flexible and affordable co-working environment, the studio supports artists working across a wide range of contemporary visual art practices, publishing, research, and interdisciplinary work.
The space combines workshop-style making areas with desk-based studio spaces, supporting both individual and collaborative ways of working. Rooted in a collective and artist-led ethos, Coal Yard Studios encourages peer support, resource sharing, experimentation, and day-to-day artistic production within an open and adaptable environment.
Located on Marina Terrace in a historic residential area close to Cork city centre, the studio provides long-term and short-term workspace with shared facilities, 24-hour access, and communal kitchen amenities.
Coal Yard Studios continues CAC’s long-standing commitment to sustaining independent, affordable, and accessible artist workspaces in Cork City.
Expression of Interest
Coal Yard Studios is a new artist-led co-working studio managed by Cork Artists Collective CLG (CAC) in Cork's South Docklands.
We're inviting expressions of interest from artists working across contemporary visual art, research and interdisciplinary practice who are looking for an affordable, shared workspace with a supportive creative community. We welcome expressions of interest from artists who would like to become part of a growing artist-led workspace and community rooted in a collective ethos.
Studio features:
• Open-plan workspace with individual bays & deskspaces
• 24-hour access
• Communal kitchen
• Flexible long- and short-term memberships
